Here is the recipe I use for my scones....you can add any combination of fruits/nuts/chocolate to them to make them extra yummy. I have made countless batches of many different kinds and they have all proved to be delicious! Enjoy!
Scones
Ingredients:
2 cups Flour 1 large egg
1/3 cup + 1 tsp sugar 1/2 cup chocolate chips/fruit/etc.
1 tsp backing powder 1/2 cup yogurt (I usually use vanilla or berry flavored, but anything is good!)
1/4 tsp baking soda 1 stick butter (frozen or very cold)
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400F. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, powder, and salt. Cut butter into the mixture, mixing it so it resembles course meal (I use a pastry blender). Add the egg and mix. Add the yogurt, mixing into large clumps of dough. Form a large ball with the dough using your hands. From into small clumps and place on lightly floured baking sheet. Bake for 15-17 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes. Serve with coffee or tea...and enjoy!
